Job Summary

Performs skilled work trimming, pruning, and falling trees; removing diseased, broken, or hazardous limbs from trees; or the removing entire trees when required. Operates heavy trucks such as bucket trucks, claw loaders, etc. for trimming or removal of brush or wood. Work is performed under supervision of a crew leader and reviewed while in progress and upon completion for results obtained. Work is performed outdoors and employee is exposed to weather conditions, insects, and extreme heights. May be required to operate bucket truck.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and one (1) year experience in tree trimming to include knowledge of tree maintenance procedures, use of climbing saddle, pruning saw, chain saw, ropes and knots, chipper, and A-frame required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Class B CDL required.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
