A typical qualifying background includes:High school diploma or GED.One (1) year of experience involving public contact, inspections, investigations, regulatory enforcement, code compliance, law enforcement support, or closely related work.College coursework in public administration, criminal justice, planning, or a related field is desirable.Prior experience in law enforcement, code enforcement, parking enforcement, animal control, or another public safety or regulatory enforcement environment is highly desirable.License/CertificatePossession of, or ability to obtain, a valid class “C” California driver's license.Possession of, or the ability to obtain, certification in PC-832 level III within the first twelve (12) months of employment.All part-time/hourly employees are considered at-will and receive the following benefits:Sick leave (40 hours per year—eligible for use on the 90th day of employment).457 (b) Deferred Compensation Program available.Required participation in the Medicare and Social Security programs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
