Government Operations Consultant I - ESS Program - Document Processing Center

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking an experienced professional to perform as a Government Operations Consultant I within the Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) Program Document Processing Center. This role supports DCF's mission by ensuring timely, accurate processing of documents that impact food, cash, and medical assistance eligibility. This position is responsible for daily operational leadership and performance coach and liaison with contracted vendors to ensure all performance metrics and client expectations are consistently fulfilled. Incumbent will assist with keeping confidential information secured and adhere to laws, rules, and regulations. Tasks will include: Routine monitoring of vendor production rates Quality assurance Data collection Assigning/delegating specific tasks Performance coaching Training contracted vendor staff Adhering to time standards This position reports to the Document Processing Center Supervisor. This is a team lead function working with contracted vendor staff. This position is designated as essential and may require extended or nonstandard work hours during declared emergencies, including participation in Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) operations.

Required Minimum Qualifications: One year of full-time professional experience working with high-volume document management systems, such as the MyACCESS portal. Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint.) Preferred Qualifications: Two years of full-time professional experience conducting interviews, reviewing documents, and determining applicant eligibility for public assistance services by utilizing the FLORIDA system. Experience performing in a formal leadership role with delegate authority and responsibilities; supporting team or operational workflows, including monitoring productivity, performing quality checks, and providing coaching or training. Experience analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings and making recommendations for improvement. Desired traits for applicants: Demonstrated ability to lead peers and support team development Strong relationship-building skills with leadership and stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable managing high-volume workloads Able to work independently with minimal supervision
