Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end‑to‑end warehousing and distribution logistics needs using a strategic network of storage facilities.Our integrated solutions prepare for supply chain risks and improve lead times.We are looking for a dispatcher who will be directly in charge of scheduling drivers to make deliveries and pick up packages from customers and vendors, and work as a liaison between customers, drivers, and management.Essential FunctionsScheduling drivers to make freight delivery or collect shipments and packagesCommunicating with customers and vendors about freight details, pickup and drop‑off times, and special requestsPlanning predetermined routes for driversIdentifying traffic problems and issues, and creating appropriate corrective action plans to achieve desirable results on timePreparing general dispatch documents for management, as well as pulling any documents that employees, customers, or vendors will needMaintain a record of all dispatch calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pick‑up timesMonitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedulesLogging vendor complaints or concernsAnswering phone calls from vendors, customers, and management and helping them as neededOther duties as requestedSkills / CompetenciesStrong aptitude for time managementExcellent understanding of local and state traffic laws and regulationsAbility to make quick changes in routingStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and multitaskDeep understanding of computer software and technologiesAble to read, write and speak EnglishCompany BenefitsMedicalDentalVision401k + Company MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)And morePay Range$22 to $23.50 per hourShiftMonday to Friday: 6:00 am to 2:30 pmLocationUnited States of America, Florida, Jacksonville, 32218Equal Opportunity EmployerMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
