We are seeking a reliable and highly organized Dispatcher to join our team and play a critical role in coordinating daily operations.Schedule: 3:00am - 1:00pm, Monday- Friday with rotating Saturdays.Position OverviewAs a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for effectively organizing and coordinating the daily routes for waste collection and disposal vehicles. You will work closely with drivers, customers, and operations staff to ensure efficient routing, timely service, and adherence to company safety protocols. A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, enjoy problem‑solving, and be able to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and assign daily routes for waste collection and disposal vehicles to maximize efficiency in operations.Adjust routes and schedules in response to traffic, weather conditions, delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.Act as the primary point of contact for drivers during their daily routes, addressing and resolving operational challenges.Respond promptly to customer inquiries, service requests, or complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Provide status updates to internal teams and management as needed.Monitor GPS systems and tracking tools to oversee vehicle progress, ensuring routes are followed and schedules are maintained.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local/state waste management laws.Maintain accurate records, including driver logs, service reports, and route completion notes.Handle emergencies such as vehicle breakdowns or driver issues, quickly implementing alternative solutions.Communicate with maintenance teams and coordinate repairs for fleet vehicles when needed.QualificationsExperience:At least 2 years of dispatch or logistics coordination experience (experience in waste management or fleet operations is a plus).Skills:Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and management.Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Problem‑solving abilities with a proactive mindset and attention to detail.Additional:Knowledge of DOT regulations and local/state waste management protocols preferred.Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including early mornings or weekends.Key CompetenciesStrong ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.Customer service oriented with a team‑driven attitude.Analytical and quick decision‑making skills in responding to logistical challenges.Commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
