Position Overview Paid forestry internship, primarily preforming the duties as a forest technician. The intern is responsible for gathering an accurate forest inventory using the latest in forest mensuration technology. We employ both a fixed radius and variable radius sampling methodologies. These are carried out over a vast industrial forest landscape throughout Northern California. We are currently expanding our inventory team and are looking for the right people to advance at Alpine. Overtime and incentive pay available.Responsibilities and Duties Reports to the Cruise FormanGather forest inventory data with a high level of accuracyOperate a broad array of company vehiclesMaintains issued equipmentMaintain a safe and clean camp throughout the field seasonFollow company safety standardsQualifications and Skills Preferred but not required, completed or actively pursuing a 2 or 4-year forestry-related degreeGood physical conditionAbility to operate and communicate as part of a teamWillingness to be away from home for 5 days at a timeWillingness to overcome adverse outdoor conditionsiOS and Windows proficiencyAttention to detailValid driver's licenseCompensation Seasonal position with a starting hourly rate of $21, 401k with dollar for dollar match up 3% annually, Full-time positions available.#J-18808-Ljbffr
