Job Title : Alternate Facility Security OfficerDepartments : AdministrationReports To : PresidentJob Class : Exempt (Salary)Pay Rate : Dependent upon experienceLocation: Orlando, FLPosition Summary:The Alternate FSO (Facility Security Officer) is responsible for supporting the FSO in overseeing security measures within Mtron, ensuring the security of personnel, sensitive information, and compliance with all security regulations.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and direct security measures necessary for implementing the applicable requirements of Mtron's “Facility Security Officer (FSO)” Procedure, or equivalent, and related security requirements to ensure the protection of classified information.Perform security operations per Mtron's “Facility Security Officer (FSO)” Procedure, or equivalent, as assigned by FSO. These can be as follows:Process visit requests, badges, etc.Utilize security software such as DISS (Defense Information System for Security), and other per FSO requirementsAssist with all aspects for personnel security clearancesAssisting with security briefings and training with personnel as well as key management personnelPerforming self-inspections as neededUpdating procedures and documents as requiredPerforming random baggage checks as assignedAssisting with orientation for newly hired cleared personnelPerform travel briefings as requiredPerform safe briefings as requiredLog all classified documents and ensure compliance with handlingEnsure proper handling and shipping of all classified products and materialsAssisting with the Company's Insider Threat Plan (ITPSO)Oversee classified shipmentsSupports the FSOMay manage day-to-day activitiesParticipate in security audits/assessments.o Maintain and keep track of classified documents located at the Security Office.Supervises : NoneKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work outputExcellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive informationSelf-starter with a proactive and accountable work styleProficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelMust possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance or current eligibility to reinstate and be able to maintain clearance eligibility.Must be able to complete required Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) trainingEducation, Experience and Training:2+ years of experience in trade compliancePrior (DOD) Security Officer experience preferredExperience with industrial security procedures, namely specific procedures for MtronMtron's “Facility Security Officer (FSO)” Procedure, or equivalentMtron's “Industrial Security Standard Practice” Procedure, or equivalentMtron's “Classified Material Handling” Procedure, or equivalentOthers as requiredComplete security training pursuant to 32 CFR 117.12 and as deemed appropriate by the Cognizant Security Agency (CSA).Physical Requirements and Working Environment:This role is performed on-site and primary an in-office, along with secure facility environment.Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerOccasionally standing, walking, or moving within the office or production department areas.Must adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.Other Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee.
