Iteris is seeking a Traffic Operations Technician who will be focused on performing a variety of technical activities in support of traffic operations and data collection projects.Veterans are encouraged to applyWhat you will be doing:Independently analyze, assess, and interpret data, conditions, and systems to plan and execute traffic signal retiming projectsCovering the data collection phase through the project reporting phaseDevelop and implement strategies for improving arterial traffic flow and safetyPrepare the development of system performance measurement tools, standard operating policies/procedures, deficiency reports, and mitigation plansCoordinate with local agencies related to the operation and maintenance of traffic signals and arterial systemsClosely coordinate with our department groups as neededApply advanced tactics to efficiently move trafficProvide technical support for our TSM&O performance monitoring platformsInteract professionally and proactively with clients to ensure clients are highly satisfiedMaintain knowledge of ATMS platforms, optimization software, and analysis software to ensure technical competenceTravel, as required, to participate in retiming deployments. Length of travel will depend on specific assignments and the successful completion of inherent responsibilitiesWhat you need to be successful in this role:Associate preferred in engineering technology or related field (consideration will be given for equivalent experience)Two (2) years of experience in a technical field preferredIntermediate TTC (MOT) certification is a plusIMSA Traffic Signals Level I certification or ability to obtain in 6 months is a plusTraffic Management Center (TMC) operations knowledge is a plusFlorida Department of Transportation (FDOT) arterial corridors knowledge is a plusPractical knowledge of ATMS platforms and traffic signal controllers knowledge is a plusKnowledge of and ability to use Microsoft's Excel and Word programsIteris anticipates paying between $20.00 and $24.00 for this role.
