Dispatcher
The Dispatcher will coordinate, control, and dispatch all levels of service and patient transportation for JHS.
Responsibilities:
- Receives calls from JHS employees for patient transportation related services.
- Calls vendors for the proper units for patients discharges.
- Ascertains pertinent information from the caller to determine level of service transport for the patient.
- Investigates service inquiries, incident reports, and customer service related issues.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports assigned by MTC manager.
- Works in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting purposes.
- Ensures that all contractual requirements are met successfully.
- Works with other departments to identify emerging trends.
- Participates in training sessions for Dispatcher Certification.
- Assists with development of goals and objectives for the department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
- Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology and prior medical experience, such as work as a medical assistant, EMT, or in a medical office setting.
- Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
Education:
- High School diploma is required.
Credentials:
- Non-licensed worker.
