    Description

    The School of Music and Dance in the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts at San Diego State University is accepting applications for their hourly part-time music studio instructional faculty pool.

    We welcome applicants with expertise or experience in the following areas:
    • Music studio instruction

    Appointments from the music studio faculty pool are often made just prior to the start of the academic term, so applicants must be available on very short notice. The Fall term begins mid-August and end late-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends mid-May. Applications will remain in our applicant pool during the academic year you apply.

    Qualifications

    Criteria
    • Graduate degree in music or commensurate professional experience
    • University teaching experience
    • Demonstrated expertise in subject matter

    Additional information regarding Music Studio Instructional Faculty assignment:
    • Salary Schedule: The CSU Salary Schedule can be found here (Class = 2365 for Music Studio Instructional Faculty).
    • Assignments: Assignments are made by Department Chair.
    • Work assignments to be assigned in 30 minute to 60 minute sessions.
