    Description

    The City of Irvine seeks a skilled candidate with a background or interest in animal care, demonstrated office experience, and strong customer service and leadership skills to assist with front office operations at the Animal Care Center. This position is Part-time, up to 30 hours per week, weekend and holiday availability is required.

    The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of clerical experience. Some experience working in a professional animal care setting, such as an animal shelter, pet store, or veterinarian office, is preferred.
    Part-time Hourly Range

    Office Assistant III - $22.09 - $28.98

    Hours: Varying shifts, Monday through Sunday, up to 30 hours a week*. Weekend and holiday availability required.

    & Library Services Department

    programs and services: Human Services; Community Parks, Outreach and Open Space;

    Aquatics; Athletics and Great Park Operations; Reservation, Program Services

    and Special Events Permits Division; Irvine Animal Care Center; Administration

    and Business Services; and Library Services and Arts.

    The Process
    The selection process will include an examination and conduct a background investigation prior to appointment. This recruitment may establish an eligibility list to fill future positions in similar and/or lower classifications within the organization.
