    Summary

    This position is designed to provide excellent customer service to the customers of the City's Water Utility Department.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Processes payments from customers in person, mail, dropbox, online and by phone. Cash handling daily for payment processing.
    • Scans data and compiles records and reports.
    • Gives information to customers and employees.
    • Prepares, issues, and sends out receipts, bills, policies, and billing statements.
    • Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data.
    • Operates office machines such as computer, copier, fax, adding, and calculating machines.
    • Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.
    • Greets and assists visitors.
    Supervisory Responsibilities
    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years of recent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
