ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Eighth Judicial District Court is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Program Administrator position. This position will oversee the daily operations of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program, providing leadership, supervision, and strategic direction to staff and volunteers who advocate on behalf of children involved in the dependency court system. The Program Administrator will plan, organize, and evaluate program services; ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and funding requirements; develop policies and procedures; manage program resources and budgetary components; and serve as a liaison between the Court and community partners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a commitment to improving outcomes for children and families served by the Court.
This role requires knowledge of principles, practices, funding sources and administrative techniques for service delivery programs; administrative principles and practices, including goal setting, program development, implementation and evaluation, and the supervision of employees and/or volunteers; principles and practices of program planning and evaluation; laws, regulations and practices of the program area to which assigned; principles and practices of employee and volunteer supervision, including selection, work planning, organization, training, performance review and evaluation; principles and practices of developing teams, motivating employees and managing in a team environment; computer applications related to the work; standard office practices and procedures, including filing and the operation of standard office equipment; techniques for understanding and effectively communicating with individuals of various cultures; basic budgetary practices and terminology.
This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration or a field related to the programmatic or service area to which assigned AND four (4) years of full-time professional and/or administrative experience in an area related to assigned program or unit. Prior lead or supervisory experience is desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. An advanced degree in appropriate field preferred. Working Conditions: Attend meetings outside of normal working hours.
Licensing and Certification: Specified positions may require possession of valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
