    DESCRIPTION

    The Human Resources Department is now recruiting for the position of Clerk Typist III - NC. This recruitment is anticipated to close on March 31st, at 11:59 PM OR when 100 applications are received, whichever occurs first.

    The ideal candidate will be motivated, reliable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality while handling sensitive information. These positions are well-suited for someone who enjoys supporting a team, communicates clearly, and takes pride in being accurate and organized. Attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.

    This is an unclassified, non-career position. Non-career employees are allowed a maximum of 1600 work hours available over a 12-month period. Non-career employees are not typically eligible for health/dental/vision benefits; however, may be eligible for sick leave benefits. This is an at-will, temporary, part-time position.

    EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

    • Perform and assist with Personnel File Digitization project
    • Maintain central Human Resources employee files for all City Manager department employees
    • Arranges for the retrieval of separated employee files from offsite storage
    • Perform other related clerical duties as required


    REQUIREMENTS TO FILE

    M INIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • The ability to type neatly and accurately at a net speed of 40 words per minute.
    • The ability to file in alphabetical and numerical order and perform clerical detail, which includes making simple mathematical computations and correcting error in grammar, spelling and punctuation.
    • The ability to work cooperatively with other employees and the public.
