Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the EOP Director, the Associate Director EOP Programming leads program oversight, student support services, campus collaboration, admissions and retention initiatives, budget management, and staff supervision to ensure comprehensive services that promote persistence, academic achievement, and degree completion for EOP students.

• Provides leadership for the EOP Resilient Scholars Program (RSP) and EOP Transitional Programs, serving over 1,200+ students.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates holistic support services focusing on academic success, personal development, and social integration.
• Partners with key university offices-including Financial Aid, Admissions, Residential Life, Academic Colleges, and Mental Health Services-to coordinate comprehensive support services for EOP and foster youth students.
• Monitors and manages funding for both EOP Resilient Scholars Program (RSP) and EOP Transitional Programs, including program budgets, endowments, and donor contributions.
• Supervises and supports the staff of both EOP Resilient Scholars Program (RSP) and EOP Transitional Programs.
• As a leader, demonstrates a commitment to student success that is mission aligned with the university’s vision, values and priorities. Establishes an ethical and collegial work environment, promoting a collaborative, accountable and inclusive team. Encourages a courageous and resilient solution-oriented environment by participating in new opportunities to further the mission of the university. Participates in developing initiatives that further support the campus mission with a service-oriented and catalytic mind set. Qualifications:

• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
• Equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional/administrative experience; with two of the five years in a managerial role preferred.
• Graduate Degree in Social Sciences or Social Work license, is preferred.
• Experience working with Foster Youth and/or historically underserved students, is a plus.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working with College Foster Youth is also preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Leadership

• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in higher education, student services, or a related field.
• Strong ability to develop, implement, and assess programs that support student success and retention.
• Excellent interpersonal, advocacy, and communication skills, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Experience working with historically disadvantaged student populations, including foster youth.
• Knowledge of budget management, grant writing, and program assessment.
• Ability to lead diverse teams to support the operational mission and vision of employers by fostering an ethical, inclusive and collegial work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to support ongoing improvement through courageous, resilient, and catalytic leadership.
• Lead varying initiatives through a collaborative, service-oriented and communicative approach.
• Demonstrated commitment to employee development, recognition, and accountability to further operational goals.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

• Salary is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. The University offers excellent fringe benefits.
• The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $105,000 - $116,000 per year, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
• The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
