    The Job

    Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is looking for experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses who will be assigned to the PACU Unit. This position will provide care to critically injured patients and will plan, evaluate, and implement patient care according to accepted standards of practice.

    ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

    The County also offers an alternative Modified Benefits Option (MBO) that provides a wage differential.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Background : Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education.

    Availability: Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required.

    Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department.

    Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

    Minimum Requirements

    Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.

    License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

    Certification: Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must possess and maintain the following unit specific certifications/courses required to work in the PACU :

    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Basic Arrhythmia (Dysrhythmia) Class
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
    • Critical Care Course OR Critical Care RN Certification (CCRN)


    Desired Qualifications

    Candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and experience in a PACU Unit is desired.
