    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    The Senior IT Professional - Applications will be responsible for the management and support of ServiceNow SaaS application specifically focusing on configuration, integration, and scripting to user management, monitoring, and upgrades. Daily duties include proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and quick resolution of critical incidents. This position plays a critical role in ensuring ServiceNow platform’s reliability, functionality, and alignment with business objectives.

    Build and maintain the ServiceNow catalog items, workflows, notification, UI pages/macros and script includes. Experience in JavaScript is a plus. Serve as the expert liaison to the business and vendor. Work at the highest technical level of all phases of ServiceNow application systems analysis and support activities. Coordinate meetings and requirement gathering sessions for the support activities and enhancement requests. Ensure customers’ business requirements are fully understood, documented, communicated, and acted upon. Coordinate change management and release activities. Provide mentoring and training to other team members as needed. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. Under direction of the IT Manager, performs a variety of information technology related development and support activities for any assigned department/division. The ideal candidate will work closely with the IT Manager, city departments, and staff to ensure the seamless operation of ServiceNow application, maintaining a 24/7 uptime.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Experience in ServiceNow or similar service management system
    • ServiceNow System Administration and ITSM application support
    • Rest API, Web Services, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS
    • Build and maintain Service Catalog items, workflows, notifications, UI pages/macros, and script includes
    • MID server configurations
    • CMDB, ITOM, HAM, and SAM
    • SaS/ERP solutions and configurations
    • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, orchestration, and MID Server configuration
    • Microsoft office products
    • Working knowledge of Nintex Forms and Workflows or similar systems.


    WORKING CONDITIONS

    There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems (MIS) or a closely related field. Usually has advanced technical certifications that demonstrate mastery of a specialized application.

    EXPERIENCE

    At least six (6) years of technology experience supporting applications. Advanced certifications and/or greater than six (6) years applicable experience may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the education requirement.

    **Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6. **

    Preference will be given to candidates with the following skillsets:
    • ITIL foundation
    • ServiceNow advanced certifications: Developer, Application Developer, or Implementation Specialist
