    POSITION AVAILABLE : Information Technology Analyst IV (Project Manager)

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Associate’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related position.

    DESCRIPTION : Select, develop, install, and modify software systems for a variety of the County’s service areas and enterprise systems. Participate in the creation and maintenance of data exchange between systems. Review and analyze a variety of forms, documents, reports, data output, and record-keeping requirements. Install and administer database and file management software. Monitor performance of databases, correct problems, and improve performance. Maintain operating systems and environmental and data communications software. Monitor performance of hardware and operating system software, correct problems, and improve performance. Consult with customers and users and advise on the feasibility of converting systems to computerized applications. Recommend improvements in operations and administration of existing systems. Collect information regarding capabilities and limitations of existing systems, and desired capabilities of future systems. Confer with users, consultants, and programmers to plan data security for software. Analyze various factors including number of users serviced by data processing equipment, reporting formats required, volume of transactions, time requirements, and security requirements to determine hardware configurations. Code applications and routines using various computer programming languages. Design project plans based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel. Plan, design, install, configure, upgrade, tune, and maintain systems software, database, and file management software. Research, identify, evaluate, procure, test, and configure network systems including hardware and software. Utilize network monitoring tools to monitor servers, firewalls, and network components for errors, security issues, and other problems. Perform network and engineering planning duties. Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, operating system, and networking problems. Perform software and system testing procedures, programming, bug verification, release testing, and beta support. Train users in the operation and procedures of the application. Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups. Monitor operations to ensure compliance with government regulations. Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas and keep abreast of changes in job-related rules, statutes, laws, and new business trends. Act as liaison between and primary resource to vendors, technical support consultants, and departments in the resolution of complex system and networking problems. Provide on-going guidance and advice to team members, technical and programming staff, and users. Attend and conduct a variety of planning and project meetings to develop cost and time estimates, and prepare progress and status reports, presentations, and other documentation.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:
    • 5 years of experience leading complex IT system implementations, including Cloud migrations and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform deployments.
    • 5 years of experience leading IT projects within state or local government agencies.
    • 5 years of experience with Agile methodologies, including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP).
    • 4 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) components, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Relational Database Service (RDS), and Simple Storage Service (S3).

    RATE OF PAY: $11,809.07 per month
