    BASIC FUNCTION :
    • Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Agriculture courses up to 10 hours/week
    • Organize and teach all levels of Agriculture classes
    • Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
    • Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
    • Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
    • Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
    Essential Duties Summary REQUIRED DUTIES :
    • Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
    Required Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS :
    The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications stated below:

    • Master’s in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business, agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanics, agronomy, animal science, enology, environmental (ornamental) horticulture, equine science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, pomology, soil science, viticulture or other agriculture science)
    • OR the equivalent.
    • EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT : All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District ( YCCD ) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.     Desired/Preferred Qualifications EXPERIENCE :
    Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching which would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Agricultural Studies to community college students. Physical Demands Range/Step Class I - VII (Based on degree and teaching experience). Salary Range Steps 1: $1,377.25 - Step 10: $2,306.66 per unit. Benefits Information PART - TIME (less than .60 FTE ): Part-time positions less than .60 FTE are not entitled to any District paid fringe benefits.
