    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
    • The person selected will:
    • Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a relevant community college curriculum in Administration of Justice;
    • Provide instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections Associate and Certificate programs;
    • Prepare complete course syllabi and outline, and work on articulation with local colleges and universities;
    • Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success;
    • Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments;
    • Participate in district/college/division committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program;
    • Establish and participate in the activities of the Administration of Justice Advisory Committee;
    • Be committed to the participatory governance process. Essential Duties Summary • Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Required Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

    The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Administration of Justice at California Community Colleges:

    • Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
    • Any bachelor’s degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
    • The equivalent OR
    • Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.
