    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    Develop and/or implement enrollment a Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan that aligns with the University’s mission, academic capacity, and fiscal goals. Provide the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management articulated reports of enrollment trends, impact on the university’s budget, and long-term sustainability.

    Provides vision, direction, and expertise in the development and implementation of a data-driven, multi-year strategic enrollment management plan that aligns with the campus Multi-Year Academic Plan.

    Collaborate closely with colleagues in student and academic affairs to provide seamless student enrollment to include orientation, retention, integrated marketing, and communications that support the university's enrollment goals. Ensure operational goals align with the broader Student Affairs & Enrollment Management division, partnering with divisional leadership to establish pathways from prospect to active student. Oversee branding and marketing efforts targeted to prospective students to ensure the university remains competitive and expand awareness.

    Champion initiatives that remove barriers for underrepresented, first-generation, and Pell-eligible students.

    Develop efficient, in-person and digital systems to ensure the maximum impact of financial assistance, recruitment, course scheduling and registration, and other student service programs.

    Facilitate general administration by creating an environment of inclusion, accountability, and superior customer service within the unit. Oversee the work of all departments, and respective Directors in the unit, including Admissions, Recruitment, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Registrar’s Office, Prospective Student Marketing, and Student Systems. Oversee direct reports in AVP of EM’s office including faculty relations, events and budget operations, graduate programs liaison, and admin assistant. Provide oversight of the budget for Enrollment Management, deploying resources to achieve strategic priorities.

    Serve as a member of the Strategic Resource Planning Committee and the President's Planning and Policy Council. Engage in a data-driven approach to problem solving and decision-making and facilitate best practices in enrollment management, student retention, and success. Develop and review policies and procedures pertaining to enrollment management to ensure they are equitable and do not unintentionally marginalize student populations. Serve on other university committees as needed.

    Perform additional related duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

    Education : An earned master's degree.

    Experience: Successful record of progressively responsible leadership in enrollment management, student affairs, student success and support programs, comprehensive student services, or student learning programs at a college or university. Outstanding leadership skills and documented capacity to serve as a member of senior management and to affect change in institutional culture and operations in a decentralized, multifunction environment. Successful record of fiscal management and personnel responsibilities.

    Other Knowledge/Skills: Robust knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in higher education, with significant knowledge of and experience in improving recruitment and growing enrollment. Demonstrated record of facilitating student success. Proven experience in recruiting, developing, retaining, and evaluating staff. Ability to interact effectively with external constituents, and with sensitivity to political realities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of national and regional trends and best practices in admissions, financial aid and scholarships, student records, and registration practices. Demonstrated successful experience with outreach and retention programs. Understanding of the faculty role in university governance. Successful experience in leadership, vision, strategic planning, and supervisory roles. Demonstrated skill in effectively communicating with all constituencies including the public. Demonstrated ability to foster collegiality and effective collaboration within the unit and across the University. Demonstrated skill managing diverse teams and working with diverse populations. Demonstrated experience with management and maintenance of integrated student information systems, institutional data reporting, degree audit, data analysis, data warehousing, and data security. Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant state and federal policies and regulations.

    A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position.

    The person holding this position is considered a ‘Campus Security Authority (CSA)’ to report crimes for the federally mandated Clery Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1107 revised March 24, 2017 as a condition of employment.

    The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.

    This position may be "Designated" under California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This would require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within 6 months of assuming office and every 2 years thereafter.

    Hiring Range: $15,000 - $17,500 per month
