    Hours of Work: The Town of Davie operates on a four (4) day work week schedule (10 hours per day). This position's schedule will be Monday-Thursday either 7:00am - 5:30m or 7:30am-6:00pm on-site.

    The IT Applications Manager position is responsible for managing the Town’s business application systems, AI and data integration, performance, implementations and the staff who support them. The IT Applications Manager supervises system analysts and a database administrator, accountable for the day-to-day operation, supporting, and ongoing improvement of software applications used throughout the organization and B2B integrations. This role utilizes strong leadership and communication skills to organize, secure, design, improve, maintain, plan and deploy solutions for the organization’s business intelligence driven solutions and systems. This position also leads in the development and use of reporting and data analysis tools, such as Power BI or similar platforms, ETL development, to improve access to information for business users. Efforts are focused on providing practical, usable and accurate data rather than complex technical solutions. Reports to Assistant IT Director or Designee.

    Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)

    • Bachelor's Degree in computer systems design, computer science or related field.
    • Ten (10) years' experience in Information Technology.
    • At least (5) years equivalent work experience supporting and managing applications and/or systems management.
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification or comparable Microsoft certifications preferred.
    • Possession of a valid Class "E" Florida driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
      • Must be physically able to operate a vehicle.
      • Must not have driver's license suspensions within five (5) years of submission of an application (not insurance-related).
    Additional Information :
    • 40-hour on-site work week with on-call availability as required.
    • Evening and weekend work to meet deadlines as required.
    • Evening and weekend work in support of IT infrastructure and application upgrades/ maintenance as required.
    • Support of emergency operations as required.

    Supplemental Information

    Negotiated salary within the posted range will be dependent on candidate's qualifications and experience.
