DESCRIPTION These positions are “at-will” and non-benefited, and limited to 1,000 hours in a fiscal year (July 1st through June 30th). The salary and work schedule may vary based upon assignment. What You’ll Do:
- Officiate youth sports games and practices.
- Enforce rules fairly and consistently.
- Keep accurate scores, time, and game records.
- Set up and take down fields, courts, and equipment.
- Communicate with coaches, players, and spectators.
- Promote sportsmanship and positive behavior.
- Help ensure a safe, organized environment at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTSQualifications:
- Minimum age: 15 years old.
- Knowledge of one or more sports (baseball/softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, etc.).
- Ability to make confident decisions and manage game flow.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable working outdoors and evenings/weekends.
- Training and rules clinics provided; prior experience preferred but not required.
SELECTION PROCEDUREApplications must be filled out completely. Resumes submitted in lieu of completing an application will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed by a screening committee and those applicants who appear to be among the best qualified will be selected for the examination process. This process may include a variety of techniques designed to test applicants’ knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job. All employment offers are subject to a City-paid background check.
