    DESCRIPTION

    These positions are “at-will” and non-benefited, and limited to 1,000 hours in a fiscal year (July 1st through June 30th). The salary and work schedule may vary based upon assignment.

    These positions are ideal for high school and college students seeking valuable work experience, leadership skills, and the opportunity to serve their community.

    Available Positions May Include:
    • Lifeguards
    • Swim Instructors
    • Pool Managers and Assistant Managers

    • Supervise and engage children and program participants.
    • Lead games, activities, and special events.
    • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
    • Enforce rules and safety procedures.
    • Provide excellent customer service to families and community members.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum age: 15 years old.
    • Responsible, dependable, and team-oriented.
    • Enjoy working with children and the public.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certifications required for aquatics positions (training provided).


    SELECTION PROCEDURE

    Applications must be filled out completely. Resumes submitted in lieu of completing an application will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed by a screening committee and those applicants who appear to be among the best qualified will be selected for the examination process. This process may include a variety of techniques designed to test applicants’ knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job. All employment offers are subject to a City-paid background check.
