GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the application development manager, this position performs complex (journey-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves performing manual and automated Quality Assurance aspects of projects. Work with other Architects, Team leads, QA staff and project managers to analyze the requirements and testing if the applications conforms to the standards and requirements as well as to verify that the changes do not break any existing functionalities. May serve as QA Analyst or UI/UX designer in various projects. Has a good understanding of UI/UX design methods, standards, wireframing, tools, and user experience analysis. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Sixty semester hours from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five years of full-time experience in performing Quality Assurance of enterprise applications in java and/or mobile applications.
Two years of experience in UI/UX design using Figma or comparable design tools.
One year of programming experience in QA automation.
One year of experience in testing mobile applications.
One year of experience in Accessibility (ADA compliance) testing.
NOTE: Experience may have occurred concurrently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with testing coursework.
Experience: Experience testing large and complex enterprise applications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of architectural concepts for achieving end-to-end performance, scalability, availability, reliability, integration, accessibility and security.
Knowledge of user research, wireframing & prototyping, user flows, and usability testing.
Knowledge of current technological trends in software development and hardware architecture.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Knowledge of infrastructure for running web applications.
Knowledge of project management concepts.
Knowledge of creating ADA section 508 compliant web sites.
Skill in developing test cases for testing mobile and web applications.
Skill in writing scripts and performing automated and manual regression testing.
Skill in designing User Interface and translating into prototype.
Skill in using desktop tools, IDE's such as Eclipse.

WORKING CONDITIONS Required to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Required to work overtime as necessary.
Required to provide after-hours support as needed.
