This is a full-time, on-site role for a Detention Deputy based in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. The Detention Deputy will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and welfare of inmates, staff, and visitors within the detention facility. Daily tasks include monitoring inmate activities, enforcing facility rules and regulations, conducting inspections, and responding to emergencies. The role requires maintaining professional conduct, accurate documentation of incidents, and effective communication with team members and other law enforcement agencies.

•Awesome Pay: Start with an excellent hourly rate of $20.80 - $24.63 (based on experience). Overtime (1.5x pay) possibilities are endless!
*Rotating 12.25-Hour Shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off. Day shift 5:45am - 6:00pm and Night shift 5:45pm - 6:00am. Rotate day/night shift every 90 days. *Mandatory overtime is currently in place, requiring one (1) additional shift per pay period. Know your schedule 1 year in advance!

Minimum Qualifications
To get started, you'll need to be:
•At least 18 years old and a U.S. Citizen
•A high school graduate or have a GED
*Must be able to pass 3-week certification class at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy within 1 year of hire.
