Overview The IT System Administrator A/V will have in dept knowledge of specified IT systems and audio/visual technologies as well as lead in acquiring, installing, and/or upgrading audio/visual systems, components, and software as needed. They will be responsible for most aspects of audio/visual hardware and system administration to include managing processes and services, configuration of systems, system installation and configuration, network systems, and security. Additionally, they will be responsible for providing technical support in the maintenance and operation of specified audio/visual technologies on premises and/or remote sites.
Responsibilities - Supports hardware in electronic cabinets, servers, racking equipment, and other Data Center or network closet equipment
- Installs, tests, monitors, upgrades, troubleshoots and repairs assigned computer and audio/visual equipment and software
- Maintains firmware and peripherals including network cabling and power cords. Stays current on all assigned hardware
- Configures hardware to include upgrades and patches. Proficient with professional broadcast systems such as audio, cameras, directing hardware and software, routers, switchers, multiviewers, encoders, decoders, and more
- Installs, tests, documents, modifies and repairs hardware and software related to video, audio, computers, and network devices.
- Provide support of video transmission systems, including routing, encoding, and decoding, and other broadcast transmission related hardware
- Monitors, analyzes and rectifies technical faults in a variety of broadcast systems
- Supports and assists in integration of broadcast system at remote locations
- Assists IT with computer, video/tv, microphone and web conferencing installations
- Researches software issues with available resources including the internet
- Configures software to include upgrades and patches.
- Maintains knowledge of assigned technologies with provided training and resources
- Maintains various records and documentation for computer and networking systems; Ability to create easily understandable documentation on new and existing systems
- Practical knowledge of industry standards such as SDI, HDMI, NDI, NDX, AES audio, SMPTE 2110, Dante, h264, h265, or similar technologies. Ability to create basic signal flow diagrams
- Creates configuration and operational guides for hardware and software
- Setups and runs virtual calls (Webex) for broadcasts and internal meetings
- Resolves user problems; provides guidance for the resolution of complex problems; corrects routine problems by making repairs to computer equipment and/or audio/visual equipment; contacts appropriate resources for additional assistance
- Support all Audio/ Visual equipment and troubleshoot all equipment for multimedia, broadcasts, and internal meetings
- Works directly with other departments or vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Works under general supervision and usually reports to a project leader or supervisor.
- Works as project lead when required.
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work - Exempt - Full-Time
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

Qualifications - High School Diploma / GED
- Four (4) years of experience
Licenses and Certifications Required - A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire
Preferred - Experience with Crestron, Extron and Dante systems
