    JOB SUMMARY
    The Training Consultant is responsible for determining training needs and methods, conducting small-group classroom and virtual training, creating and maintaining training event calendars, producing data and metrics reports, and maintaining training records.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Facilitates, schedules, and conducts in training classes.
    • Trains students using on-the-job and/or classroom training techniques.
    • Maintains training materials so that content is current and valid.
    • Manages registration processes.
    • Updates individual and class training records.
    • Prepares and distributes metrics and training reports.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    DECISION MAKING
    • This position receives general supervision.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • Four years’ experience in customer service.
    • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's license.
    • Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts within SAWS’s hours of operation including the training period where lunches and breaks are scheduled with the flexibility to adjust daily schedule and work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Associate degree in education/training-related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
    • Proficient in virtual training software and Learning Management Systems.
    • Six years of work experience in customer service.
    • Two years of experience training adult learners including distance learning and computer-assisted instructional techniques.
    JOB DIMENSIONS
    • Regular contact with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Skill in using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
    Physical requirements include lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, and visual acuity, speech and hearing. Subject to standing and sitting for long periods of time. Frequently works in an office environment and performs occasional field visits.
