Why you’ll love this position:The Engineering Intern (CADD Support) provides entry-level support and guidance to Department personnel using CADD applications through developing, maintaining, coordinating training and documenting CADD software applications. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision.
What you’ll do: - Provides solutions to questions and concerns regarding CADD applications to Department personnel.
- Conducts and coordinates training courses in the districts and Central Office using CADD application to highway design.
- Assists in the development, evaluation, certification and implementation of CADD applications.
- Develops and maintains instructional manuals and objectives for CADD training courses.
- Provides current and updated CADD standards to Department personnel and consultants; provides standardized data for contract plans.
All you need for success:Minimum Qualifications - Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program full-time (12+ credit hours).
- 30 credit hours completed/accepted toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply.
- Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.
Special Working Conditions: - Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
