The Position Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.
The Maintenance Repair Worker III with the Nevada National Guard located in Reno, Nevada, is responsible for performing basic plumbing, carpentry, welding and machining, electrical, and painting work. Duties include constructing special-use features, repairing parts, and conducting preventative maintenance to maintain the facilities, buildings, and grounds. The Maintenance Repair Worker III may also be responsible for welding gates, repairing tools and equipment, constructing, installing, and replacing worn or damaged parts, and assisting other team members as directed by the supervisor. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Two years of experience performing semi-skilled work in the relevant building and/or mechanical trades; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements Some positions require a valid Class A, B, or C driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Some positions are subject to call-back after work hours and call-out on weekends and holidays. These positions will be identified at the time of recruitment. Additional Position Criteria This position requires a valid Real ID at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation.
