and year-three rate of $24.92 per hour.Job Location: Willow Springs or Poplar Bluff The maintenance intern duties may range from technician-level to entry-level professional depending on student knowledge, skills, and abilities. Maintenance intern provides operational support in the management of the roadway maintenance program. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.
- Supports maintenance staff in review of maintenance policies, and Engineering Policy Guide procedures and guidelines.
- Assists in the preparation of maintenance related reports, correspondence, records, and presentations.
- Assists in inspection of field operations, work zones, buildings, communications networks, and road conditions, and assists in the preparation of related recommendations, correspondence, and reports.
- Supports the bridge inspection program, as needed.
- Assists in preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for roadway maintenance contracts.
- Performs quality assurance reviews on federally eligible maintenance work.
Minimum Qualifications: - Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program full-time (12 credit hours); for engineering candidates, program must be ABET-accredited.
- 30 credit hours completed/accepted toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply.
- Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.
