Role Description: We are recruiting a qualified positive professional to join our Clerical Support Team, working primarily with the Director’s Office. This position may handle sensitive information pertaining to abuse and neglect investigations. It is crucial that the person in this role have the ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to internal and external matters occurring during the course of daily work. Additionally, we are seeking someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills who will be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the individuals we serve, their families and caregivers, contracted service providers, Regional Office co-workers and the public. Office support involves a variety of tasks which require:
- Independent decision making in accordance with policies and procedures
- Initiative to learn complex operations quickly and perform them accurately
- Flexibility in a fast-paced deadline driven environment with shifting priorities
- Proficiency with office practices, computer systems, software, and standard office equipment
Primary Responsibilities: - Operate as a member of the Clerical Support Team, collaborating to ensure timely completion of correspondence, data processing, and record keeping, as well as providing professional and welcoming initial contact over the phone or in person to those who visit our facility.
- Serve as receptionist or information clerk; determining purpose of contact; providing general information and assisting in preparation of forms; directing individuals to proper destination; receiving and distributing messages; and scheduling and/or arranging appointments.
- Perform data entry, typing and editing a variety of material, which may contain technical or specialized terminology, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, and preparing and scanning confidential documents for electronic storage.
- Assist with preparation of letters and documents needed for Abuse and Neglect determinations to include Plan of Action requests. Monitors timelines related to the A/N process and POA completions.
Typical Qualifications: 0-1 year of relevant experience in office work.
