MONDAY - FRIDAY; 8 AM - 4 PM* *Subject to change DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Functions in a staff role to provide professional analytical, administrative and/or management systems services to the supervisors and the Director of the Houston Regional Intelligence Service Center.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Investigates and makes recommendations for addressing issues of medium complexity and/or sensitivity.
- Receives, performs research and analyzes information from a variety of sources and databases.
- Compiles data, analyzes raw intelligence and investigative data and interprets results through conclusion or recommendation formulation.
- Produces reports, special documents, alerts and bulletins.
- Coordinates, trains and liaisons with federal, state and local counter parts on Homeland Security issues.
- Handles highly confidential information.
- Operates pertinent analytical databases, all computer mediums and related computer software.
- Responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of databases and information.
- Participates in evaluation and design of workflow, processes, various operations systems, etc.
- Develops technological solutions for systems for continuous improvement of programs and other appropriate applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.

Graduate degrees related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Three years of professional administrative, financial or analytical experience related to the type of work being performed are required.
Professional experience related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS None.
PREFERENCESPreference shall be given to applicants with p rofessional criminal or military analytical experience related to all-source analysis.
