ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates for the Senior Line Service Representative position at its general aviation airports. This is a working lead role, where the Senior Line Service Representative provides direct service while overseeing a team of line service staff. Responsibilities include fueling, safety checks, aircraft servicing, and other ground support activities. The position also involves managing fuel and supply inventories, coordinating services with vendors, and ensuring the security of the Aircraft Operations Area (AOA). In addition to hands-on duties, the Senior Line Service Representative assists with staff training, provides input for staff performance evaluations, and contributes to the development of goals, policies, and budget recommendations. This role includes overseeing emergency responses and communicates with the FAA and other agencies as needed at the County's General Aviation airports, Henderson Executive Airport and/or North Las Vegas Airport.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Employee Services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience:Equivalent to graduation from high school and three (3) years of full-time aircraft ground servicing and fueling experience. Must remain current in an FAA approved Line Service training program and complete all CCDOA training as required. Some college level education in business or a field related to the work and prior lead or supervisory experience is desirable. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application. Working Conditions: Work with exposure to high noise and potentially hazardous fuels, lubricants and other materials.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of hire.
Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre- employment drug examination.
Residency Requirement: Permanent employees must maintain a principal place of residency within the boundaries of Clark County and provide proof of compliance with Nevada motor vehicle registration and drivers' license laws within 90 days of employment.
Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

- Assists in developing and implementing goals, policies, procedures, and work recommendations and standards for the unit; provides input into the unit's budget along with equipment recommendations.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
- Oversees activities on an assigned shift, Recommends selection of staff and trains staff in work procedures.
- Coordinates with vendors to schedule services. Inventories, orders, and maintains applicable stock of fuel, oxygen, lubricants and other servicing materials and supplies; assists in specifying and developing contracts for such items.
- Coordinates line service response to aircraft emergency situations; notifies proper authorities and acts as liaison between the FAA and other affected agencies and individuals as needed.
- Maintains liaison with based aircraft.
