This is an entry level professional position, responsible for assessing patients, performing treatment planning, facilitating groups and activities, and documentation. Job Duties 1. Assess basic skill functioning related to services provided through the Rehabilitation Services Department.
2. Plan and implement a wide range of treatment groups designed to meet the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of patients.
3. Confers with medical and interdisciplinary treatment.
4. Organizes, stimulates, and encourages participation in planned individual and group activities; conducts special seasonal events and programs.
5. Supervises and/or trains Activity Aides, volunteers, students, and direct care staff in recreational activities.
6. Maintains an inventory of equipment and supplies used in programming.
Key Skills 1. Ability to plan, conduct, and participates in therapeutic groups and activities.
2. Ability to observe patients’’ progress and prepare clear and concise reports.
3. Ability to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic techniques and practices used in the rehabilitation/treatment of patients.
4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and patients.
Minimum Qualifications:• A Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
