Applicants hired into the
Epic Clinical Analyst II are considered journey-level Analysts. Epic Analysts II utilize their clinical expertise to perform moderately complex systems analysis and applications programming, serve as a resource for implementing technical solutions to meet customer business needs, and function in a support role on major new development project teams. The Epic Clinical Analyst II will work with other internal analysts and technical staff to conceptualize function, data structures and best fit, and create functional specifications to meet customer expectations.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a physical, background investigation, and verification of employment history, certifications, and education.
Epic Certification: Incumbents are required to pass an Epic Certification. The incumbent will have three (3) attempts or 90 days from the date of hire to become certified. The Clinical Informatics Department in collaboration with the Epic Executive Team will reserve its right to extend beyond 90 days if the core training class schedule falls outside the 90-day hiring period. T he incumbent’s employment will be terminated if certification is not obtained after three (3) attempts, by 90 days of hire, or within the dedicated extended time allowance.
Training & Travel: Applicants must be able to sit in a training room for up to 8 hours a day. Applicantmay need to travel to Verona, Wisconsin by airplane for training on an as needed basis. Travel expenses will be paid for by San Bernardino County.
License: A valid California Class C Real ID/Driver License, Passport, or Military ID and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at time of hire.
On-Call: Incumbents may be placed
"On-Call" for nights,weekends, and holidays depending on the certified module.

both of the following Education and Experience requirements:
Education: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Social Work, Heath Science, Clinical Nutrition, Speech Pathology, or a closely related field.
-OR-- Associate’s degree as a Pharmacy Technician, Radiologic Technologist, Respiratory Care Practitioner, Occupational Therapist Assistant, or a closely related field.
Experience: Two (2) years of professional clinical experience working in an acute care hospital as a Clinical Lab Scientist, Cytotechnologist, Dietitian, Genetic Counselor, Occupation Therapist, Physical Therapist, Social Services Practitioner, Speech Therapist, or closely related.
EPIC CLINICAL ANALYST II Candidates must meet
all the following Certification, Education, and Experience requirements:
Certification: Epic Certification in one or more modules obtained through Epic Systems Corporation.
Education: - Option 1: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Social Work, Heath Science, Clinical Nutrition, Speech Pathology, or a closely related field.
-OR-- Option 2: Associate’s degree as a Pharmacy Technician, Radiologic Technologist, Respiratory Care Practitioner, Occupational Therapist Assistant, or a closely related field.
Experience:
- Option 1: One (1) year of experience as an ARMC Epic Clinical Analyst I with expertise in Clinical Laboratory Science, Cytotechnology, Dietitian Nutrition, Genetic Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, or a closely related field.
-OR- - Option 2: One (1) year of experience as an analyst on an Epic implementation team with expertise in Clinical Laboratory Science, Cytotechnology, Dietitian Nutrition, Genetic Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, or a closely related field.
-OR- - Option 3: One (1) year of experience as an analyst providing user support for Epic Systems with expertise in Clinical Laboratory Science, Cytotechnology, Dietitian Nutrition, Genetic Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, or a closely related field.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have professional level experience working as a Clinical Lab Scientist, Cytotechnologist, Dietitian, Genetic Counselor, Occupation Therapist, Physical Therapist, Social Services Practitioner, Speech Therapist in an acute care hospital. This candidate will have a desire to learn clinical informatics and be willing to serve as a subject matter expert for the implementation of Epic.
