The JobArrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a
Healthcare Program Administrator to provide programmatic leadership for the hospital’s Graduate Medical Education Department and the Office of Research and Grants.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manages and oversees the scope and function of ARMC's Graduate Medical Education Program and Office of Research and Grants, which includes compliance with regulations and standards from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, California Department of Health, American Council of Graduate Medical Education, The Joint Commission, and Accreditation Commission for Health Care, etc.
- Serves as a subject matter expert, resource, and applies knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and certification efforts to ARMC departments, personnel, and external agencies.
- Provides ongoing education, training, and staff development of regulatory and accreditation standards at ARMC.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures that supports ARMC's medical students, residents, patients, staff, and employees.
- Compiles and analyzes data for corrective actions. Maintains records and reports.
- Supports the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
- Provides operational leadership to the medical student programs, ensures compliance with their respective accreditation standards and medical school contracting.
- Administers and leads implementation of educational and assessment processes, develops and designs curriculum for competencies as defined by the ACGME. Makes formal recommendations for improvements using outcome and/or performance data to physician faculty for medical resident and student curriculum and evaluation.
- Oversees budget preparation, prioritization of expenditures, monthly billing for resident rotations to affiliated hospitals, makes projections for each academic year, negotiates academic affiliation agreements/contracts, and ensures adequate support for the educational needs of each residency program for the Graduate Medical Education Department and the Office of Research and Grants.
- Analyzes and reports data as required by the ACGME for Annual Institution Review and the Clinical Learning Environment Review; review Committee Letters. Develops metrics for the sponsoring institution and each program to monitor improvements, provides action plans as requested by the ACGME. Makes recommendations for improvements based on outcomes.
- Directs residency coordinators and other support staff to ensure program effectiveness, assesses education needs, develops educational activities to meet ACGME requirements. Hires independently, reviews and evaluates work, writes and signs Work Performance Evaluations.
- Identifies and implements new and/or best practices in graduate medical education, provides updates and presentations to physician faculty and hospital administration, makes recommendations.
- Manages critical data and information including corrective actions for hospital quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ARMC is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated teaching medical center featuring the newest in technology in the field of patient care. ARMC is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 90,000 annual visits, a Level I Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and four Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. ARMC is a Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 2800 births per year. The Neonatal Intensive Care is a 30 bed Community California Children's Services certified unit.
