Current vacancy is with the Assessor’s Office located in Visalia, CA. The anticipated life of the list is six months.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:0 pm.Typical Duties DUTY SAMPLE - Utilizes computerized tracking and spreadsheet programs to assist appraisal staff.
- Verifies accuracy of information entered on various assessments and takes action to correct inaccurate or incomplete data identified.
- Cancel bills and submit roll corrections at the direction of appraisal staff. Not on Spec at all-can be moved to desirables.
- Enters, researches, processes and maintains a large volume of property assessment documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare a variety of reports and correspondence.
- Responds to public inquiries, both in person and via phone, regarding assessments, assessment procedures and assessment laws, regular and supplemental tax bills.

Minimum QualificationsMinimum qualifications are used as a guide for establishing the education, training, experience, special skills and/or license which are required and equivalent to the following.
Education: - Equivalent to completion of the twelfth(12 th ) grade.
Experience: - One (1) year of clerical experience, including preparing, processing, accepting or reviewing various legal documents.
Knowledge of: - Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
- Basic mathematics including fractions and percentages.
- Methods of researching, gathering, organizing and reporting data.
Skill/Ability to: - Work and communicate effectively with people of various education and socioeconomic backgrounds by respecting beliefs, interpersonal styles and behaviors of both clients and co-workers.
- Operate contemporary office equipment inclusive of computer, keyboard, and all applicable electronic equipment.
- Establish priorities, remain flexible and tolerant under changes in workloads and assignments and perform exact work under pressure and be able to work overtime when required.
- DESIRABLE EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
- Knowledge of : Accounts receivable and payable processes; strong basic mathematical skill.
- Skill/Ability to: To demonstrate sound logic and analytical abilities.

Limit of 300 hours.
Sick Leave Accrual: 12 days per year with unlimited accumulation, 60 hours of which may be used toward family sick leave.
