What you’ll do: Responds to inquiries either written or verbal from state officials, customers, vendors, and the public regarding agency matters; investigates and recommends corrective action to resolve customer complaints.
Composes or drafts correspondence involving the interpretation of agency rules, regulations, and program responsibility.
Apply your advanced knowledge of computer data systems, office equipment, software, and forms as applicable.
Understand and adhere to agency policies, programs, and standards applicable to specific program area(s) in keeping with the agency’s mission and principles.
Answer incoming phone calls including the incoming calls for Children’s Division Central Office and Constituent Services and log all referrals.
Apply knowledge of available resources and actively research to find answers, solutions and ideas to support client and staff needs.
Support legislative and budgetary processes as applicable.
Provide positive customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage and respond timely to incoming correspondence involving several different communication platforms (in-person, phone, e-mail).
Serve as a back-up to other administrative positions within Central Office.
Arranging travel, lodging, meals and providing meeting and conference support to Central team as requested.
All you need for success: - One or more years of experience as a Administrative Support Assistant with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.

- Four or more years of office or related clerical experience; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications - Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of computer data systems, office equipment, software, and forms as applicable
