    Regulatory Auditor

    Division of Labor Standards / Wage & Hours Section

    Annual Salary Range: $43,456

    The Department of Labor is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-service-driven applicant with excellent communication skills to join our Wage and Hour Unit.

    What you will do:

    • Contact the complainant and the employer to establish the most efficient means to resolve the complaint.
    • Request relevant documents necessary to complete a thorough investigation to resolve complaints.
    • Coordinate complaint investigations and related enforcement activities with other state and federal agencies.
    • Answer questions via phone regarding Prevailing Wage, Child Labor and Minimum Wage law.
    • Receive Child Labor Law Complaints and perform compliance checks of employer establishments expeditiously.


    All you need for success:

    Qualifications

    • Four years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, business administration, or a closely related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in related fields of study.


    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.

    • Knowledge of Prevailing Wage, Child Labor and Minimum Wage law.
    • An individual who is well organized, has a keen attention to detail, and possesses interpersonal skills.
    • Enjoys working in a team environment, can maintain positive working relationships, and conduct duties with courtesy and respect.
    • Ability to confidently contact public and private entities to advise them of the requirements and provisions of wage and hour statutes.
    • Ability to work independently within the scope of assigned duties.
    • Ability to accept and implement feedback with a positive attitude, and is willing to assist team members, accept additional assignments, and maintain a healthy attendance balance.
