    Vendor Service Coordinator



    Flexible Schedules/No On-call

    Job Location:

    This position is currently domiciled at Poplar Bluff Regional Office: 2351 Kanell Boulevard, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. Domicile consideration is open statewide to ensure the best candidate for the position.

    Role Description:

    Responsible for provider development to enhance the capacity for the provision of supports and services. Provides technical assistance to providers and monitoring to ensure the quality of service delivery to individuals and compliance with Medicaid Waiver service definitions and requirements.

    What you’ll do:

    • Maintain a working knowledge of regulations pertaining to DMH contract providers which include, but are not limited to: Medicaid Waiver, Licensure and Certification, DOR's, CSR's, Fiscal Reviews, Division Directives, etc.

    • Maintain a working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver service definitions.

    • Understand residential services budgetary guidelines and staffing patterns.

    • Review and understand the contractual process (provider enrollment, contract renewals, contract amendments, contract terminations, etc.).

    • Provide technical assistance to stake holders regarding service delivery and requirements including but not limited to contract language, Medicaid Waiver service definitions including standards and record keeping, Individualized Supported Living and Shared Living budgets, staffing patterns, certification standards, and policy and procedure development.

    • Provide technical assistance to stake holders on provider staff requirements including background screens, educational requirements, licensure/certification requirements and training standards.

    • Work in conjunction with contracted agency/vendor to perform Provider Relations Reviews to audit specific provider requirements.

    • Complete required entry of findings from Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance Audit Unit into the Integrated Quality Management Functions Database.

    • Follow up on action items identified through Provider Relations Reviews, Missouri Medicaid and Audit Compliance Unit audits, Corrective Action Plans and service coordinator referrals to ensure desired changes are affected, objectives achieved and program changes are maintained.

    • Maintain required information trackers regarding duties within established timelines.

    • Identifiy provider issues through consultation with professional and support staff, observing staff performance, monitoring program implementation, reviewing records, reports and utilization/financial data.

    • Coordinate and/or assist in activities regarding the development and implementation of corrective action plans and timeframes for correcting deficiencies involving program and contract requirements, standards, policies and procedures for each assigned provider. Review quality assurance data, Event Reports, Fiscal Reviews, etc. to identify possible systemic issues to be addressed.

    • Participate in regional all staff meetings, team meetings, quarterly provider meetings, and monthly statewide provider relations meetings.

    Essential Functions:

    • Partner with providers ensuring quality of services, adherence to Provider Relation Directives, DD/DMH Division Directives, guidelines, and Code of State Regulations.

    • Demonstrate o rganization and decision making skills, ability to work with a variety of providers and build relationships with them, knowledge of DD/DMH vision, guidelines, Department Operating Regulations, Code of State Regulations.

    • Communicate in writing or verbally with individuals, providers, co-workers, and/or supervisors utilizing agency forms, computer programs and email as required.

    • Attend and pass annual refresher classes provided through MO Learning.

    • Follow CSR's, Departmental Operating Regulations, and Division Guidelines.

    • Read and follow directions.

    • Possess adequate vision and hearing for the position with or without accommodations.

    • Perform physical requirements including, but not limited to: frequent standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; regular walking, talking, hearing, reaching with hands and arms (including above head); occasional climbing of stairs or balancing.

    • Lift at least 20 lbs.

    • Must maintain a current State of MO Driver's License.

    • Must travel to/from individuals’ homes, provider and community locations. Required during work week and may include numerous locations.

    • Attend work according to facility policies in order to ensure adequate staff coverage.

    Typical Qualifications:

    5 years of experience in the Division of Developmental Disabilities related to supporting contracted providers, OR a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant professional experience (preferred).

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
