Prepare and maintain Schedule of Federal Grants, Approved Airport Improvement Program (AIP), Project to Date Expenditures, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reimbursements and prepare audit schedule of Federal Grant Expenditures Lead Schedule by airport location, grant number, work order and Federal Grants Receivable Roll forward Schedule for the Single Audit Report. In addition, prepare analysis and report on the condition of Capital Work Orders and federal grants. Prepare quarterly Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) schedules and schedules of changes in capital assets, maintain list of all fixed asset additions and deletions by airport and reconcile fixed assets per schedule against general ledger. Create and assign fixed asset numbers for equipment and vehicle purchases. Handle various journal entries related to accrual of salaries, retirements, health, Part-time, Seasonal and Temporary (PST) contributions, and payroll internal demands for emergency checks. Coordinate with Financial Analysis Section on matters relating to cash reconciliation with emphasis on payroll adjustments. Post inventory differences in System Applications and Products (SAP). Prepare analysis of related general ledger accounts such as Salaries Payable (203200), Benefits Payable (202100), Retirement Account (510400), Health Subsidy and Federal Grant Revenue Account (404100). Obtain relevant reports from the SAP System for use in the analysis of various accounts. Analyze monthly assigned expenditure account balances, interpret variances and prepare commentaries. Assist in the preparation of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) monthly and quarterly reports, and annual financial and statistical reports for LAWA, City of Los Angeles, FAA and other governmental agencies. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules including salaries and benefits accounts and other accounts as maybe required in the audit. Coordinate with the external auditors related to year-end audit. Assist in implementation of new Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements and reporting requirements including GASB 87 Leases, GASB 96 Cloud Computing, etc. Coordinate with Controller’s Office matters related to recording of Airport Federal Insurance Contributions Act/ Old-Age, Survivors, & Disability Insurance (FICA/OASDI), retirement and PST contribution. Assist in contribution obtaining data from other LAWA divisions to comply with the annual FAA Form 127 and Airports Council Int'l - North America (ACI-NA) Form 127 and ACI-NA Benchmarking Survey. Answer and resolve telephone inquiries. May occasionally be assigned to special projects or other duties for training purposes or to meet technological changes or emergencies and perform other related assigned duties.
