As a Training Coordinator, you will be part of a team committed to excellence by providing opportunities for education and professional growth for over 700 people serving our indigent clients. - Coordinate logistics for MSPD training events, including:
- Registering participants for in-system and out-of-system trainings
- Making and updating lodging and travel reservations
- Communicating with planners, presenters, and attendees
- Manage training day logistics, such as:
- Facility setup and technology support
- Preparing materials including agendas and supplies
- Serve as the point of contact for employees before, during, and after training events
- Attend training events to support on-site needs and connect with the training community
- Assist with marketing and design of training visuals, including:
- Name tags, signage, digital media, PD swag, and apparel
- Help maintain and enhance our training portal
- Contribute to the development of new training resources and materials
- Work on meaningful projects that support public defender staff and impact client services
Minimum Qualifications: - A bachelor’s degree and at least one year of professional or technical work experience.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered to meet qualification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: - Attention to detail, strong recordkeeping and documentation skills.
- Problem-solving and research abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to take initiative and multitask.
- Flexibility with work hours during training events.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, A/V equipment, and virtual training platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation and a collaborative team mindset.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel to training events.
- A strong commitment to MSPD’s mission to provide zealous representation to clients and effective training for all employees.
