Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector (ATC) is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic
Information Services Deputy Chief* to assist the ATC Chief Information Technology Officer in providing both technical and administrative leadership across the enterprise. This critical role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of enterprise technology standards, processes, and performance metrics that demonstrate the value of Information Services and Technology to the organization.
The
Information Services Deputy Chief provides strategic management, oversight, and direction to Information Services teams. Responsibilities include conferring with staff on operational matters, serving as a technical advisor, and resolving personnel issues. The position assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures that support long-range planning, daily operations, and business solution initiatives. The Deputy Chief also reviews the integrity, security, and efficiency of IT services, evaluates systems, and makes recommendations for improvements or enhancements to the ATC Chief IT Officer.
Additional duties may include making formal presentations as needed, staying abreast of emerging technologies, and assisting in research and cost-benefit analyses of new technologies and IT services. The role involves recommending the acquisition of new hardware and software, identifying staff training needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing service-related issues. The Information Services Deputy Chief also plays a key role in developing the annual division budget and periodically reviewing budget status to support effective financial management.

Minimum Requirements CANDIDATES MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE Must possess three (3) years supervisory or higher-level management experience supporting multi-customer technology systems and solutions deployed i n an enterprise environment. Qualifying experience must be equivalent to the level of management and supervisory experience of the Systems Support Supervisor or Business Applications Manager classification in San Bernardino County.
EDUCATION Must thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college level coursework in computer telecommunications, electronics, computer science, information technology or a closely related field of study. (Computer based IP voice and data transmission technology classes are acceptable).
(Transcripts MUST be attached if you do not possess a completed/awarded Associate degree (or higher) in related field.) SUBSTITUTION Each one (1) year of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for 15 semester (23 quarter) units of the required education.

Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

- Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise Infrastructure and Operations processes and strategies
- Extensive experience in the end-to-end leadership, development, implementation, and support of enterprise software solutions
