The Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) is recruiting for a Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) Administrative Aide. SCSEP Administrative Aides offer technical assistance to program participants, ensuring proper placement and the accurate processing of applications. They play a key role in quality assurance, verifying that all participants meet and continue to meet eligibility requirements. Additionally, they assist in placing participants in training sites that align with their needs. They may also handle ongoing communication between administrative staff, field staff, and participants to ensure smooth coordination throughout the program.
*Position is eligible for benefits.
This is a part-time, contract position and serves at the pleasure of the hiring authority.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting, and/or medical exam, prior to appointment.

Minimum Requirements
Experience: One (1) year of experience in Administrative Services and Customer Service. Experience must include computer usage.
Note: Job duties must be clearly detailed on the Application. Retail sales and food service experience are not considered qualifying.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with program participants, colleagues, and external stakeholders. They will demonstrate excellent organizational abilities, with a proven capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records. Proficiency in data entry and office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as familiarity with databases, will be essential for performing day-to-day administrative tasks. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, enabling them to address issues that may arise with customers or processes. Attention to detail is also crucial, ensuring precision in handling forms, files, and data.
