  • Job Description

    The project reviewer reviews plans, specifications, and estimates to ensure quality bidding documents for construction projects. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.

    This opening is for one of our CAREER-LADDER positions which offers the opportunity for career advancement without having to participate in the competitive selection interview process. Based on your work experience, skills, and education, you will be hired at either the entry, intermediate, or senior level of this job title. As you continue to learn, acquire new skills, and gain experience, you can be promoted to a higher-level position.

    • Reviews plans, specifications, and estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with current design criteria and constructability issues.
    • Communicates with the district on errors, omissions, and recommendations for plans and job special provisions submitted by the district.
    • Assists in the bid opening process by reviewing contractor bids and reviewing final contracts for completeness and accuracy.
    • Creates requests for bids and assembles plans and bidding documents; prepares addenda to the bidding documents.
    • Attends and participates in pre-bid conferences with contractors, district personnel, and consultants as a resource for bidding and contract services.


    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university curriculum.


    Special working conditions and job characteristics:

    • Job requires occasional, statewide, and out-of-state, overnight travel.
