    What You'll Be Doing

    The Child Welfare Kids Transportation & Visitation Units are currently seeking a Child Welfare Case Aide to work directly with the Permanency Planning (Foster Care Program) Team to provide continuity in the implementation of strategies and interventions with children and families to achieve safe and timely permanency.

    Essential functions:

    • Direct transport for children in Wake County Custody, to/from family visitations, doctor visits, family team meetings, court hearings and other necessary appointments
    • Ensure the timely and secure transportation and support services for children and youth
    • Provide required visitation services as outlined in the visitation plan
    • Guarantee accurate documentation and reporting during family/client visits
    • Provide transportation for clients as directed by Foster Care Social Worker
    • Supervise family visits as directed by Foster Care Social Worker
    • Participate in Case Staffing, Permanency Planning Meetings, and Court Processes when needed
    • Contact parents and/or foster parents to coordinate transportation

    The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

    • High school diploma or GED
    • No specific experience required
    • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

    Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

    • Knowledge of child development and the effects of trauma on children and family systems
    • Experience in working with families involved with Child Welfares
    • Experience with visitation or transportation in a health and human services setting

      Emergency Service Worker Statement
