medical, mental health, and dental services to patients in 22 facilities across West Texas with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Our

As a
Registered Nurse, you will be an essential part of our healthcare team, delivering direct patient care, assisting with treatment plans, and ensuring the well-being of those you serve. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, performing health assessments, and contributing to a dynamic and purpose-driven workplace.
Major/Essential Functions- Responsible for providing care to patients at the Fort Stockton-Lynaugh Unit.
- Administers medications as ordered, adheres to facility policy and procedure of medication administration and will maintain knowledge of appropriate dosages, reactions and contraindications of medications.
- Communicates patient data using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to support decision-making to improve patient care.
- Prepares and operates necessary equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Assists in completing required documentation for incoming/outgoing patients including obtaining accurate patient histories.
- Inspects and monitors equipment; inspects and ensures maintenance of patient care areas, equipment and supplies, and medication refrigerator.
- Serves as a relief charge nurse when needed, delegating tasks to lower level nursing staff.
- Communicates with Physicians or Advanced Practice Providers as needed, and calls report when transferring patients to another unit or hospital. Notifies provider(s) of any significant incidents.

- Day Shift Only:
- Work Hours 5:00AM-5:30PM
- No Night Shift
- Competitive Pay - Earn a strong salary plus shift differential:
- Weekend Differential: +$3/hr on weekends

Required QualificationsLicense/Certification: Current RN License in the State of Texas, or ability to transfer license to Texas, or scheduled to complete a program of nursing within 120 days of applying for a position. Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program. New graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX- RN) on the first attempt.
Experience: No experience required.
