    About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB

    (This is not a state position)

    University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

    Position Summary

    Temporary, Part Time, Non-Benefitted position through 6/30/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

    Salary: $17.00-$25.00 per hour.

    Location: Off campus. ERC, San Bernardino.

    Work Schedule

    19 hours per week. Monday to Wednesday, 9:00AM-2:00PM, and Thursday, 9:00AM-1:00PM. Some nights and weekends may be required.

    This position will remain open until filled.

    Typical Activities

    Under minimal supervision of the ERC Program Manager, the Administrative Assistant will work independently to:

    Administrative Support:
    • Organize and maintain files, records, and documents (digital and physical).
    • Monitor and manage email correspondence, including responding to inquiries and redirecting as needed.
    • Perform general office tasks at the ERC San Bernardino, such as front office line of contact, data entry and answering phone and walk-in inquiries.
    • Update calendars and databases related to programming & community events.
    • Share & follow up via previously created communications, including events, rental and general inquiry emails.
    • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate individuals or partnerships.
    • Ensure the co-working space is well-maintained, including managing the cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality of common areas, meeting rooms, and amenities.

    Event and Program Support:
    • Coordinate logistics for workshops, networking events, and training sessions.
    • Support participant registration and follow-ups.
    • Ensure smooth execution of events by handling venue setup, catering, and technology needs.

    Social Media Support:
    • Assist in posting and scheduling content for social media platforms.
    • Monitor and engage with audience interactions across social media platforms.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Some travel to ERC locations in Temecula and Palm Desert for special events may be required.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience: 2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.
    • Other:
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
      • A passion for supporting small businesses and the entrepreneurial community.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in a nonprofit or entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
    • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to anticipate needs before they arise.
    • Detail-oriented with a knack for keeping things running smoothly.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
    • Friendly and approachable with strong interpersonal skills.
