Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.Responsibilities Under direct supervision receives and schedules request for messenger service, dispatches messengers and equipment, and keeps records of services rendered.SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION RECEIVED: Supervised by departmental supervisor.SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED:None. In the absence of supervisors, directs the activities of departmental support staff.MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:Standard office equipment, paging system and related departmental equipment.TYPICAL DUTIES:1.Directs and guides the flow of work to the Transport Assistants by receiving and scheduling request for service and equipment.2.Dispatches equipment.3.Keeps dispatch board current for effective utilization of staff.4.Keeps records of services rendered. Informs Supervisor of related problems with service and equipment.5.Occasionally performs the duties of Transport Assistants.6.Performs other related duties as required.Qualifications High School diploma and 6-9 months of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
